Island Detail Dog Hair Removal

Many of our clients have dogs and cats that regularly ride in their vehicle. Over time, pet hair can begin to pile up, weaving its way deep into the upholstery fabric in a way that makes regular vacuuming ineffective for removing it. A few times a year you will want to have the pet hair removed, especially so if you are planning to sell your vehicle in the near future. Many people have allergies to pet hair and dander that will be a deal breaker when they are looking for a new vehicle.

For this purpose we have a super simple add-on service for our detailing packages that removes every trace of animal from your car, bringing it back to like new condition in a jiffy. Here is how we do it.

PET-MOLD-SAP REMOVAL
$65/ to $75
The most requested interior add-ons. Dog hair removal, ozone odour removal, eliminate mold in your vehicle, and remove stubborn sap from your clear coat.

What's Involved

We begin by vacuuming the whole interior of the vehicle as we normally would to get the surface dirt and hair out of the way so we can more effectively deep clean the upholstery. We then use an airline to blow compressed air through the carpets, seats, centre console, and in between passenger areas to loosen as much of the deep seated hair as possible.

Once the hair has been loosed we go over the entire interior of the vehicle with a special dog hair brush that catches the exposed strands and tangles them in its bristles so they can be completely removed.

We then re-vacuum the interior and shampoo all of the upholstery to remove any pet odours that might be lingering and to bring the colour of the fabric back to its original brilliance.

This pet hair removal service is an add-on to any of our detailing packages. That means that if you come in for a Quick Clean, Interior Detail, or Complete Detail, you can request a pet hair removal treatment to complete your vehicle’s transformation.

Pet Hair Removal FAQ

Are there ever extra charges?

The price depends on how big the coverage is (whole car vs. just the cargo bay) and how severe the pet hair damage is. We can let you know in a quick look, you can even send a picture using our contact page if you want to know before you come by the shop.

How long does it take?

Adding on the pet hair removal can add 1-3 hours to the detailing, depending on the severity. Plan for an extra hour for moderate pet hair coverage, and more for extreme or full car coverage.

Do I need an appointment?

You sure do! Just give us a call or send us an email and we can let you know when you can drop off your car to ensure you get it back in the same day.
