Island Color Wiper Arm Restoration
When your vehicle is brand new it feels indescribably perfect. It has swirl free paint, perfectly black tires, pristine upholstery, and the quiet ride of tight new car. Over time, the paint starts to chip, bumpers crack, upholstery is stained, and the interior starts to loosen bringing on creaks and rattles over every bump.
One of the first things to happen to your vehicle is the fading of exterior trim parts. The wiper arms, door mouldings, mud flaps, essentially everything that is black starts to fade and grey under constant UV exposure. We have a very quick and very inexpensive way to freshen up your exterior bits of moulding that will remind you how much your loved your car when it was new.
This is pretty much the simplest bit of paint work that we do. Just like with rims and bumpers, nothing needs to be removed from the vehicle, so we can get the whole job done in about 40 minutes.
We start by masking off the area surrounding the wipers to make sure your hood and windshield and safe from overspray and debris. We then sand down the wiper blades to scuff them up and make them receptive to a new exterior coating. We finish with a coat of flat black all-weather paint that is highly resistant to water, UV rays, and the elements to make sure it lasts as long as possible without fading like your original wiper arms did.
Once we remove the masking you are left with a view from the driver’s seat that looks as pristine as the day you bought your car. This is a great bit of restoration to do before putting your car on the market or as a quick add on to another service when you have your car in the shop.
